Bylaws
The nature and scope of ATA activities are defined by its Bylaws, including:
- Stated objectives and the means by which to meet those objectives,
- Rights and privileges of each membership category,
- Composition of the Board of Directors and their duties,
- Rules and procedures for holding elections,
- Establishment and purpose of committees, chapters, and divisions.
Articles of Incorporation
Working in conjuction with the Bylaws, the Articles of Incorporation define the Association's internal affairs and manner of achieving the business objective.
Board of Directors
The elected Board of Directors is responsible for managing ATA and guiding its development. Board members are unsalaried and receive no compensation for their services.

Board Meetings
The Board of Directors meets four times a year. Board meetings are open to all ATA members.
Elections
Elections are held at the ATA Annual Conference.

Committees
ATA’s Bylaws establish a number of committees to oversee and administer many of ATA’s programs. As a volunteer-driven organization, member participation at the committee level is the strength behind ATA’s activities and events. Committees provide the opportunity for members to get involved, give back, and broaden their professional network.
